Veramansa Project

Date

March, 2025

Place

Punta del Este, Maldonado

Inspired by the Low Rope Course approach, this project focuses on low-height facilities, ideal for minimizing risks and encouraging free, independent, and creative play in contact with nature.

The design included lightweight structures made of rope, wood, and cables, mounted directly on the tree trunks, respecting and enhancing the natural character of the space. The proposal combined different types of challenges:

Inertia games: zip lines, a pendulum, and a skateboard swing.

Climbing games: a climbing wall and a rope net.

Obstacle games: 10 different suspension bridges, connected to two treehouses at different heights.

The project was developed in a residential complex with large green spaces and aimed to recover and enhance a wooded area of approximately 2 hectares, which had remained underutilized for decades. Today, it has been transformed into a space for children and families to meet, explore, and play.

The project was funded by Grupo ALVEAR.

A playful intervention that restored vitality to a natural environment, integrating play, nature, and community.
